Rev. John was born and raised in Lousiana and Texas. He
moved with his family to to Los Angeles and graduated from
secondary school in California in 1964. Those years were happy
and oriented towards math and science, aiming at becoming a
surgeon. However he later shifted his major to Philosophy.
He attended college and Seminary in sequence and finished his
Master of Divinity in 1991.
He entered ministry in a parish and served two churches as Pastor,
each for over five years. He discovered a gift for helping people
and obtained clinical training in Chicago. The result was a
specialized ministry in Pastoral Psychotherapy. He developed a
sucessful practice in Milwaukee and planned to spend his years in
professional comfort. Throughout this time he served small churches
as Stated Supply.
This plan was interupted when a family illness required relocation
to a warmer climate. After a stay in Texas he was offered a half
time parish in Sterling City. Part of his time was spent in private
practice in Pastoral Counseling. He has lived in Florida since 2006.
In November of 2007 he answered God's call to the Presbyterian
Church of Bloomingdale in Brandon, Florida. He took over as Pastor
in February, 2008.
